Sorbaria Magical® Indian Summer
Emerging from the landscape trade into the floral world!
Sorbaria is a relative newcomer to the cut‑flower trade. Its fern‑like foliage emerges bronze‑red in spring before maturing to fresh green in summer. Fluffy white, plume‑like flowers are followed by dark red seed pods in late summer and fall—both highly valued in floral arrangements for their soft texture and seasonal interest. Branches can be harvested at multiple stages throughout the season, depending on your design needs.
Indian Summer reaches about 3-4' in height and width and is exceptionally cold hardy and tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions. Commonly known as false spiraea, it offers surprising versatility and ornamental value.
Well‑suited for hedges, privacy screens, borders, and for stabilizing or covering slopes, it can be vigorous in its growth. It often spreads by root suckers, forming colonies that make it excellent for erosion control but requiring occasional maintenance to keep it in check.
