Colocasia Gigantes™ Dragon Heart

The heart of a dragon and size of a giant.

As gardeners, when we dream about new varieties, we dream BIG. We dream about plants that we’ve never seen; plants with beautiful flowers or special foliage. For years, Brian Williams, the breeder of the Gigante series dreamed of a black-leaved Colocasia gigantea. A plant that could grow 7-8’ tall in a single season, a plant with ears as big as elephants; black ears.  With great perseverance he worked toward making his dream come true. It’s been said that within every dreamer, beats the heart of a dragon. From this, we bring you ‘Dragon Heart’.
