Clematis Magical® Blue

Bred specifically for the cut flower trade, this striking, blue clematis doesn't cling!

Clematis have long been prized by floral designers for their beautiful blooms, but their clinging habit made them difficult to use. Bred specifically for the cut flower trade, these new Clematis don’t cling. 

They still produce tall stems, so netting is recommended, but the benefits at harvest make it well worth the effort.

It may take a few years for plants to develop into large clumps. When harvesting, cut stems back to a single pair of leaves to encourage buds to form below ground. With each cutback, the clumps will become larger and more productive.

Harvest stems just as the buds begin to open and allow the flowers to finish opening in your arrangement. Leathery-textured flowers can last up to 10 days or longer once they’re out of the cooler.
