Cotinus Magical® Red Fountain
Tall, rosy-pink plumes make an excellent choice for special events
Ideal for cut flower growers, airy plumes of rose-pink flowers appear in June and continue throughout the summer. A dual-purpose shrub, Magical Red Fountain blooms on second-year wood—so you can harvest stems in year one while the plant establishes flower production in year two. Flowering stems are tall and sturdy, making them a great fit for larger arrangements and event work.
If you’re growing Cotinus for foliage, the stunning burgundy stems can be cut back to the ground each year to encourage fresh regrowth for harvest. This can be repeated for several years in a row with no stress to the plants.
